I have not been able to get out and take pics for the past few months so I thought I would share some photos from past years. I hope things will get better and I can’t say thank you enough for the sacrifices made for our freedom.

A post office named “Redan” opened in the northeastern part of Saginaw County on May 15, 1872 and was closed on February 6, 1874. The office was re-established as Shattuckville on March 6, 1877 and operated until November 20, 1878. The settlement was named for mill owner Samuel N. Shattuck, who also served as the first and only postmaster. In 1884, Shattuckville had a population of 68, an increase from 46 reported in the 1880 U.S. Census. I could not find a reference that gives an exact location, but I know the area near M47 and Shattuck Road is known as Shattuckville.

The flowers are blooming and the trees are turning green but I am still hanging out here at home. I was going through my old pics and I saw this one of the river in springtime that I have not shared before. I hope things are beautiful where you are.
