Way back in 1940, shortly after the new city hall was constructed replacing the old fire-ravaged building, the City Hall service manager hung one string of lights around the South Washington entrance. The tradition of decorating city hall with lights for the holidays has continued ever since then, and I think it looks more spectacular than ever this year.
