Yeah I know, Autumn is a distant memory now that we are in January and started a new decade. I have been busy over the holidays and with the gray and gloomy weather did not get out much to take photos. I figured I would share this pic of a barn I saw somewhere near St. Charles.

I hope you had a great holiday and now that they have come and gone I am getting back into the swing of things and working on more posts for the winter.

The Old Barn

I saw this old barn near Brant. It looks like it has seen a lot of Michigan weather. I have always been a city boy and have not had to rely on the weather for my living. I am no expert in farming but I imagine this year has to be a challenging one for farmers. It seems like all it did was rain in the spring, and now this fall we are getting way too much rain.

Autumn Leaves

I love Autumn but I am not too fond of raking up all the leaves. I know it’s their job but I have to give a thank you to the men and women who pick up all the leaves. I see mountains of paper bags next to the road. It has to be a lot of work loading them into the truck.

When I was a kid I remember just putting the leaves in plastic garbage bags and throwing them away. I wonder how many bags of leaves went into the landfill. I am glad they are composted now.

Autumn Rail Trail

I love going down the rail trail just about any time of year but Autumn is my favorite. I usually ride my bike since I can go down it farther and see more. I like to park at the parking lot off Strobel road and go to the parking lot on Swan Creek. I am too fat and slow to go all the way to St Charles. I guess I need to ride it more. Do you use the rail trail? what is your favorite spot on the rail trail?

Ringwood In Autumn

The Wolfarth House in Autumn

I was in the neighborhood, and the Wolfarth house was looking spectacular in the Autumn sunshine, so I had to stop and get a pic of it. Looking Forward to Fall

Now that the days are getting cooler and I see a few trees with a hint of color I am getting exited to go out and take some Autumn color photos. I took this pic last year in Taymouth Township. It seems like the fall colors come and go so fast and I like to get out as much as I can and enjoy it before its gone.
