I was out roaming the backroads in Southwestern Saginaw County and I saw this old barn near Marion Springs. It reminded me of a funny story. I was up in the Keweenaw Peninsula working on photos for my Lost In Michigan website. I stopped for the night at a small little motel called the White House. I checked in and when the owners saw I was from Saginaw they said to me. ” bet you don’t know were Marion Springs is, we grew up there many years ago” I chuckled and told them ” if anyone knows were someplace is located around Saginaw it would probably be me.” I gave them one of my books and told them that I did the Pure Saginaw website and well we talked for about four hours. It’s amazing the people I meet on the road.
