I always liked the goose statue that sat on the roof of Blohm’s Service Center on the corner of Bay and Court, sadly they went out of business a few years ago, I got a few trailer hitches installed by them, but my newer vehicles came with a hitch, so maybe that is why business was slow for them.

Anyways, since they closed, the building went up for sale, and the goose was gone. I was told the goose was modeled after the famous Wawa Goose statue in Wawa Canada, (Wawa is Ojibwa for wild goose). I worried that it was stolen or thrown away, but recently I made a trip to Bay City to see my friend Howie at the Americana Antique Mall and on the way there I went down Salzburg road and there was the bloom goose at Duncans Outdoor Shop. I will miss seeing it at the original location in Saginaw, but I am glad to see it is still on display again.
