In last night’s meeting the City Council has voted to demolish the historic Charles Lee house that Rosemary DeGesero lived in. I guess the city got what they wanted, they purchased the property without any intention of maintaining it.  Now they can say it’s to far gone to be restored, and can feel good about themselves to make the decision to raise it. Just like the Webber Mansion and Courthouse it will be gone and another parking lot for the people of Saginaw to be proud of.  Saginaw is an old city, with beautiful historic architecture and buildings that many cities don’t have, but instead we destroy what makes Saginaw unique.
