There have always been people around Saginaw that we all know, even though we really don’t know them personally. I would always see Ron walking around Saginaw, but I have never met him, or talked to him, although everyone in Saginaw seems to know him by one name or another. I remember my grandfather telling me stories of people in Saginaw, like the guy that sold pencils or Shaky Jake. My grandpa told me about a guy that had no arms and legs, but got around Saginaw in a wagon, I said wait a minute, “if he has no arms or legs how can he use a wagon”. “I don’t know, but he did” said my grandpa. I just left it at that because it’s easier that way even though sometimes I wonder how true his stories were. I wonder if I will be remembered as “the guy that took the Saginaw pics”, but I am ok with that, as long as future generations will look at my photos and remember what Saginaw was like in the days before hover cars and jet packs, just like I like looking at the Goodrich Brothers pics from the days before cars.
P.S. I have not seen Ron in a while I hope he is doing O.K.
P.P.S. the t-shirt sale is ending soon, and i will be busy geting more pics and doing research for the next few weeks so now is a good time to get one, I am not sure when the next sale will be. Thank you to everyone that got one, it really helps me out with this website.
I hope you will Subscribe to Pure Saginaw
