Sometimes I get these crazy ideas, and I have to try them to see if I can make it work. I did some screen printing when I worked at Trippensee Corp in Old Town years ago so I decided why not screen print my own shirts. I have been working on making shirts myself, and trying different inks for the past few weeks, and now I am ready to start selling shirts that I made with my own two hands. My daughter helped me a little too, thankfully labor laws don’t apply to your own kids. The response to my Pure Saginaw and Made In Saginaw Shirts have been overwhelming ,and I have been having a hard time keeping them in stock. Printing the shirts myself will hopefully give me some more flexibility. The Work-wear Store on Michigan Ave in Saginaw has been printing them for me, and they do an excellent job, but they have other customers besides me, so it takes them time to get to my order done when I am low on shirts. (If you are looking for apparel for your business, I would highly recommend the Work-wear Store, they are wonderful to work with.)
I don’t have plans on being in the T-Shirt business or becoming the next Damon John, I am just hoping to make a little extra money so I can continue to have time to do Pure Saginaw. Pure Saginaw is not funded by anyone or any organization, so I need to be able to support my family. I hope making a few shirts will help me out and still be able to do my history research. I also want to continue helping local art teachers with my Saginaw Art Initiative
Thank you once again for your support. I hope you will consider purchasing a shirt or a calendar (later this year), I would much rather sell something that you like, then ask for donations or have a lot of annoying advertising on my website.
If you want to purchase my latest shirts, that I printed myself, you can order them HERE
I hope you will Subscribe to Pure Saginaw
