Where The Cat Lady’s Lions Came From

Probably the most famous house in Saginaw is the ” Cat Lady’s House” on Washington Ave near the tracks on the corner of Hoyt and Washington. The most memorable feature was the lion heads on the front porch. They were given to her when the old Saginaw Daily News building on the corner of Washington and Federal was razed. you can see the lion heads adorning the top of the building around the 3rd story windows. After the house was purchased by the city a few years ago, the lion heads were removed, and are on display at the castle museum. you can read about the history of the house HERE
