Saginaw Area Restaurants Guide
This is a list of the locally owned restaurants in Saginaw that I like to eat at. this is not a complete list of all the restaurants in Saginaw, but the places I have been to and have gotten great food and service. if your visiting Saginaw for a little league game, or SVSU or visiting one of the hospitals and you want something unique other than a chain restaurant then check out one of these local places. I will continue to add new restaurants to the list on a regular basis.
The Savoy Bar and Grill
Located on 127 South Franklin in Downtown Saginaw, the Savoy offers a large menu serving an awesome breakfast and Lunch menu. it’s classic american diner food all homemade. My favorite is the blueberry pancakes and grilled salmon ciabatta sandwich. Its a great place to get something to eat before a hockey game at the civic center. visit there facebook page HERE
The Junction
Located at 410 Mackinaw Street in the Old Town Saginaw Historic district on the corner of Mackinaw and S. Hamilton. Look for the Red Caboose and inside they have some of the best sandwiches and hamburgers in Saginaw. you also get real fresh hand cut french fries. if your looking for a classic bar and burger joint this is the place to go for lunch or dinner.
Big Nick’s Pizza
located at 5880 State st Big Nick’s is Home of the “big Kahuna” you get fresh home made pizza with lots of cheese. started in 1928, Big Nick’s is a local mom and pop pizza place with quality pizza you don’t get a those chain stores. www.bignickspizza.com
Fuzzy’s
Located at 1924 Court Street near Bay Road, Fuzzy’s serves breakfeast lunch and dinner and also has an ice cream shop for that special treat. www.fuzzys.biz
Tony’s
there are several Tony’s in Saginaw and all of them a good. serving a full menu of breakfast and american Italian cuisine all day. this is the place to go if you are hungry and want good value. They are known for their Steak Sandwiches but also have excellent hamburgers and breakfast.

Pasongs Cafe
Located at 114 N. Michigan, Pasongs has some of the best Chinese food in Saginaw. Made fresh to order, they are an excellent place to go for Lunch or Dinner. the Orange Chicken is my favorite. you can visit there facebook page HERE
Farmers Home Tavern
Located on M46 in Hemlock they have some of the best burgers you will ever eat anywhere. There is a reason why they have been serving them since 1878. you can find their facebook page HERE
Levi’s
located at 5800 Brockway near Walmart and State street. Levi’s has a full menu serving meals all day long. They bring you fresh hot popcorn to munch on while you waiting for you food. My favorite is the hot beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes, but I am sure whatever you get it will be good. www.levissaginaw.com
Intermission Deli.
located at 2128 Bay Road. forget about those chain sub shops Intermission has some of the best and largest subs you will ever have. they are an awesome place to get lunch.
Spucky’s
located in the admiral gas station at 5605 State Street Spuckey’s has awesome 15” long subs, forget about those foot longs at that other places, Spucky’s are 3 inches more of sandwich love. www.spuckys.com
Dawn of a New Day
located at 210 S. Washington ave Dawn of a new day is the place to go to get your morning cup of Joe. They have all those fancy hot drinks you like, and excellent sandwiches for lunch. www.dawnofanewdaycoffee.com
Harvey’s
located at 3055 Tittibawasse near Bay rd. If your tired of all the common chain places Harvey’s is the place to go, they have a full menu and after diner you can indulge yourself on deep fried Oreos. They originally started in Bay City, but I won’t hold that against them. www.harveysgrillandbar.com
Riverside Family Restaurant.
located on 8295 Midland Rd in Freeland, If your looking for some homemade family dining this is the place to go. They have the best pies in town, with an enormous selection, so if you go there for diner plan on leaving room for pie. www.riversidefamilyrestaurant.com
Timbers
located at 6415 State Street near Midland road, Timbers has a full menu and an excellent place to get a good steak or you can take the monster pizza challenge, and even if you don’t win, you will still have the consolation of eating a great tasting pizza. www.saginawtimbers.com
Huron Fish Co.
located at 505 Gratiot near Mackinaw and Michigan Ave, Huron fish has been selling fresh fish for over 25 years. They have the best fish sandwich in Saginaw along with other great meals that you can take-out or you can buy fresh fish and seafood to take home a cook yourself. www.huronfishco.com
