The flag building at the Intersection of Gratiot, Michigan and Mackinaw streets. Old Glory was painted on it by Eric R. Schantz last summer to update the original paint scheme that was painted on it after 911.
Demolition has begun at North Middle School. Unfortunately it’s becoming common for us in Saginaw to see buildings being torn down. Another outdated building to big to renovate, you know what they say “It’s easier to build new” to bad historic value seems to have no value. I am going to go to the Castle
Ayres Gasoline Engine and Automobile Works 1900-1902 the first attempt at starting an automobile company in Saginaw was the Ayres Gasoline and Engine works founded by William F. Ayres. It was located on the corner of Bristol and North Hamilton. There are no known photos or advertisements of the car. Rainier Motor Car Co.
what a beautiful sunrise on a spring morning in Michigan, it’s gonna be a good day today.
As the earth tilts and the sun crosses the equator, warming up the northern hemisphere, it’s still cold and gloomy in Saginaw on the first day of spring. I thought since we had such a long cold winter, I would post some pics from last spring, in the hopes of better weather ahead.
